Apprenticeships

We provide top quality, highly skilled labour resources on projects within the civils, rail and tunnelling industries.

Reliable have a team of apprentice mentors who will work all of our apprentices on each of our major projects. Crossrail, Highways England, HS2, Hinkley Point, Thames Tideway are all examples of clients actively searching for quality candidates.

There are so many great opportunities in construction for young people and we are committed to supporting all of our apprentices on their learning journey.

You’ll be working on site and in most cases conducting your training with our designated training provider ARC Academy to gain a nationally recognised vocational qualification (NVQ) in your chosen area.

This allows minimum downtime within your current role on site. Occasionally some of our apprenticeships will require college attendance.

ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIPS

A dedicated apprentice officer will also be allocated to you once you are on our apprentice program.

I wanted to change occupation for a more structured approach, and I’m really enjoying the apprenticeship. I’m learning fast, picking up a lot both on site and at college, and I’m keen to keep progressing. Reliable has been great — it’s a very professional setup and I’m happy to be part of it.

Reliable made it an easy transition from start to finish. I’m happy working here — the team has great work ethics, there’s a good sense of freedom, and I really enjoy being outside. There are strong role models on site, and I’m currently working towards my NVQ Level 2 in Shuttering Carpentry.

I wanted a change in occupation, and the apprenticeship with Reliable has been a great experience. The work is challenging, which I enjoy, and it’s been great working with a team that really supports apprentices. I just wish I’d done an apprenticeship earlier.

They will work closely with you from day one to support you in ensuring you achieve your goals. They will liaise with you and also be your site mentor offering support and guidance to ensure all assessment criteria’s are being met.

Your apprenticeship can take between one and four years to complete depending on the level and your ability. We work directly for many of the top ten contractors in the UK – Costain, Carillion, Kier, Bam Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, Ferrovial and it is on their projects that your experience will be gained.
