White Ribbon campaign
Prevent violence against women and girls
In 2024, we launched our own White Ribbon campaign in recognition of White Ribbon Day, an important global initiative dedicated to raising awareness of gender-based violence and highlighting the critical role men play as active allies. The campaign reinforced the responsibility of individuals and organisations to challenge harmful behaviours and cultures and to help create safer environments for women and girls.
To support this initiative, we purchased a large number of official White Ribbon badges and distributed them across our teams on multiple projects. Wearing the white ribbon demonstrated our collective commitment to the cause and helped to prompt meaningful conversations about awareness accountability and the actions needed to drive positive change.
Our Labour Managers then delivered the White Ribbon message on site through toolbox talks to more than 150 operatives at the HS2 High Speed Two Ltd EKFB Southam site. While this was a challenging topic to present, we were encouraged by the respectful and engaged response from all involved. The supporting presentations including key messages and statistics were also shared company wide and delivered across all offices reinforcing that every conversation plays a part in raising awareness and supporting lasting cultural change.
